I started this blog in 2008 when I was just starting graduate school, going to class at night, and working part-time. I named the blog Afternoon Coffee because I had the (extreme) luxury of reading, writing, and doing my work in the afternoons over a cup of coffee. Since I am now a full time employee, and no longer staying up until midnight because of my bizarre schedule, I have to admit it has been quite a long time since I have been able to enjoy a cup of coffee in the afternoon looking out over the back deck. My life now includes a lot more coffee in the morning to help me keep up with sixteen five year old's all day long.
So, I decided that with the change in my life should come a change in the blog name and address, and also its focus. I find myself routinely overlooking some amazing blessings, so I have decided to blog my gratitude in 2012. When I write, I am hoping to have it be about something or someone that I am grateful for. Stay tuned for the "grace" section of the blog.
Today I am so grateful for my family and the joy I have been surrounded with the last week. I am truly blessed.
